The Toneelroute 2024 opens at 12:30 with a special act inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte's visit to Vianen in 1811. At that time, Napoleon marched through Vianen with his army and his entourage. In addition to his regiments, his wife Marie Louise was also present. During the opening act 'Den Grootsche Sleuteloverdracht', Napoleon receives the key to the city and after a number of skirmishes, the Toneelroute can finally begin.
